Demonstration and technology transfer activities
  • Technology developed on the chemical residues workpackage of ProSafeBeef was demonstrated at the practical session of the Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) workshop 2009 to other national reference laboratories (NRL’s) on the 5th of May 2009, CRL demonstrated their method on the 6th of May 2009. The two methods were compared and the results were presented on the 8th at the theoretical session.
  • Technology developed on WP1.4 has been successfully transferred to the NRLs at Teagasc, AFRC and was evaluated for extension to scope for accreditation on May 27-28th 2009. It is expected that accreditation certificates will be received in July 2009.
  • Technology developed on WP1.4 has been successfully transferred to AFBI, Belfast where it is being applied to the ProSafeBeef survey of EU beef.
  • In 2009, technology was demonstrated to researchers from LGC Teddington (UK), Italy (Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie) and Austria (IAEA).
