Training, networking and dissemination

Go Back Research Technological Development and Innovation Activities ProSafeBeef will continually provide innovative research results that can be exploited by industrial development. It is imperative to set a framework wherein demonstration activities prove the viability of new technologies that offer a potential new economic advantage or gain in competitiveness. Because of the large involvement of industry throughout this project and of particularly SMEs this can be achieved on a wide scale.  This will be realised through the activities of ITD Pillar 6 and will draw on the expertise and findings of RTD Pillars 1-5. In addition Pillar 6 produces technical documentation such as newsletters, toolkits, leaflets, proceeeding and so on making technologies emerging from ProSafeBeef as available to as many stakeholders as possible. Demonstrations are an essential part of the overall objective of Pillar 6, to set-up a structured and sustainable demonstration, technology transfer, training and dissemination network dedicated to the beef chain. Newsletters aim at updating project partners and stakeholders on progress and key outputs from the ProSafeBeef project, together with news and events related to the European beef industry. This website also acts as a reservoir of peer reviewed publications, technical publications, oral/conference presentations, poster presentations, meetings with stakeholders and other general disseminated activities emanating from all RTD Pillars. Workshops and conferences: ProSafeBeef as an EU Integrated Project is dedicated to the strategic objective of increasing the safety of beef and beef products through the science-based development (along the total beef chain) of novel tools and intervention strategies as well as consumer focused innovative beef products thus invigorating the beef sector. A key factor in this is the engagement of thes sectors directly through demonstations (as above) and also through workshops, conferences, and seminars.
